What cookies and tracking tools are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks a browser to store on a computer or mobile device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags and identifiers that can read or save information on the User’s device.

In this Policy, “Tracking Tools” is used as a general term. Some tools are strictly necessary to transmit communications, provide a service requested by the User, secure the Website or remember privacy choices. Other tools may be used for experience, audience measurement or marketing and generally require prior consent.

02

How this Website uses them

The Website currently uses only first-party local or session storage and any technical identifiers strictly necessary for hosting, delivery and security. No optional analytics, advertising or marketing service is currently active.

Optional Experience and Measurement categories are disabled by default. Selecting them records the User’s choice but does not activate a service that is not listed in this Policy. If EFESTO later adds a new optional provider or materially changes processing, this Policy and the consent mechanism will be updated and consent requested again where required.

Categories shown in the control panel

  • Necessary — always active. These tools are required to provide and secure the Website or to record the User’s privacy choices.
  • Experience — optional. Intended for non-essential features that remember preferences or enrich content. No such service is currently active.
  • Measurement — optional. Intended for audience and performance analytics. No such service is currently active.
05

Consent and how to change it

On the first visit, the banner allows the User to accept all optional categories, reject them all or choose each category separately. Optional selections are off by default. Closing the banner continues with Necessary tools only.

Consent is freely given and can be withdrawn at any time as easily as it was given. Rejecting optional tools does not prevent access to the Website. The banner will not ordinarily be shown again before six months unless the choice cannot be read, the User reopens the panel or processing materially changes.

06

Third-party tools

Where a third-party tool is activated, the third party may access its own identifiers and act as an independent controller or processor. No optional third-party Tracking Tool is currently active. Technical hosting and security providers may process necessary connection data to deliver and protect the Website, as described in the Privacy Policy.

07

Browser controls

Users can also remove or block cookies and other storage through their browser settings. Deleting Website storage may cause the consent banner and the contact invitation to appear again because the Website can no longer read the previous choice. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect some functions.

08

User rights

Information about GDPR rights, legal bases, recipients, transfers and how to complain to a supervisory authority is provided in the Privacy Policy. Privacy requests can be sent to info@efesto.eu.

09

Changes and further information

Because technologies and providers can change, EFESTO may update this Policy and the tool table. Users should review the update date and may contact EFESTO for further information on a tool, provider, duration or safeguard.
